About Me
Dr. Ryan J. Petty is an accomplished academic leader and tenured Associate Professor of Human Resource Management. Dr. Petty earned a Ph.D. in Human Resources & Labor Relations from Michigan State University, with additional expertise in Industrial/Organizational Psychology. Since joining the ²Ø¾«¸ó faculty in 2010, he has taught courses in human resources and management at both the undergraduate and graduate levels and has served on numerous high-impact university committees. Dr. Petty’s scholarship focuses on various human resources topics including work-life balance and social media use in HR. Dr. Petty has also progressed through key administrative roles, formerly serving as both Associate Dean and Dean of the Heller College of Business. He currently serves as ²Ø¾«¸ó’s Faculty Athletic Representative (FAR), working to support student-athlete academic success and providing academic oversight of ²Ø¾«¸ó athletics. His combination of administrative experience, teaching excellence, and significant industry experience has earned him the Faculty of the Year Award and the Outstanding Teacher Award.
