About Me
Nich O’Neil (they/them), a Chicago based artist and member of Actors’ Equity Association, is honored to continue serving as part of the CCPA faculty. A seasoned performer, choreographer, and educator, Nich began their career on regional stages before a contract brought them to the vibrant city of Chicago, where they’ve since built a home and expanded their artistry into new creative avenues.
In Chicago, Nich has appeared in acclaimed productions at Paramount Theatre, including The Wizard of Oz, Disney’s Newsies, and Beauty and the Beast. They have also graced the stage at Drury Lane Theatre in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Mamma Mia!, and The King and I.
In 2023, Nich transitioned to the other side of the table as a director and choreographer, bringing their vision and leadership to a wide range of productions. Their credits include Beauty and the Beast at Chicago Shakespeare Theater, Cinderella at Drury Lane, Brighter Futures at Paramount Theatre, The Secret Garden and TL;DR at Theo Ubique, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat at Marriott Theatre, and South Pacific at Wagon Wheel Center for the Arts.
Beyond the stage, Nich’s work extends to commercial and motion capture performance, with credits including campaigns for Famous Footwear, T-Mobile, Delta Airlines, and Pure Michigan, as well as contributing as a mocap artist for Raven Software’s Call of Duty franchise.
Nich is passionate about sharing their knowledge and inspiring the next generation of musical theatre artists.
