About Me

Dr. Asghar Sabbaghi, the Alyce DeCosta and Walter E. Heller Professor of Finance and Information Systems, is a highly distinguished academic and administrative leader with a Ph.D. in Economics. He has occupied senior leadership positions, including successive tenures as Dean at three different institutions, where he successfully spearheaded strategic initiatives such as leading the AACSB Re/Accreditation, AACSB initial accreditation and securing ACBSP accreditation renewal. His professional commitment and personal passion to management education have been exemplary. Furthermore, he fostered experiential learning by pioneering a Student-Managed Hedge Fund and driving student retention through mentoring programs. The second edition of his co-authored book: Economics of Water Resources Management: From regulation to Privatization, has been translated into Chinese and Persian. His substantial scholarly contributions, such as recently published: Herding Behavior in Security Markets, are recognized by multiple institutional awards for Excellence in Teaching, Scholarship, and Service.
